Leicester v Liverpool
King Power Stadium – Saturday 1st of September 2018
I am backing Liverpool in their away game to Leicester City on Saturday.
League leaders Liverpool hope to continue their winning start to the season, as they head to the King Power stadium for a Saturday midday kick-off.
Claude Puel’s Leicester project is starting to take shape, with some quality football being played over the first few games of the season. Leicester can switch between counter attacking football to pressing high up the field against solid defensive units. This will create a tight game, which will test Liverpool’s unbeaten record.
Leicester v Liverpool Betting Odds and Picks
For the cautious punter, Liverpool outright at 1.45 looks appropriate value.
We are also moving on both teams to score at 1.83, as Leicester are likely to have some good spells of play, or may catch Liverpool on the counter.
Leicester v Liverpool Team News
Leicester striker Jamie Vardy is serving his suspension for a red card against Wolves. This means Kelechi Iheanacho is likely to start up front as he did against Southampton last weekend, and midweek against Fleetwood in the league cup.
Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren is likely to remain side-lined with a groin injury. Jurgen Klopp will continue with an unchanged back four which has not conceded a league goal this season.
Leicester – Schmeichel, Ricardo Pereira, Morgan, Maguire, Chilwell, Mendy, Ndidi, Ghezzal, Maddison, Iheanacho, Gray.
Liverpool – Alisson, Alexander-Arnold, Gomez, van Dijk, Robertson, Wijnaldum, Henderson, Milner, Salah, Roberto Firmino, Mané.
